A woman goes to enroll her daughter in an elementary school. The secretary asks, "Okay. How do you spell her name?" "S-H-A-D-Y-N-A-S-T-Y." "Her name is Shady-nasty?" "No. It's Sha-DYnasty."

Do you know what racist speech is? It's in the intent, and belief of the speaker, not in the words themselves. If it's a joke, and you don't think it's funny, who cares? The joke wasn't for your benefit, get over it.
If you let yourself get offended so easily, your goona spend a great deal of time offended.

No they're not really creative. Most of them all have the same name just different beginnings.

Once saw a girl with the name Shaquifa. It was pronounced Sha-Queef-A. Made my day, likely ruined her life.

Well I am black and my name is Ava. My sister's name is Dianne. And if you look at the ethnic origins of many so-called ghetto names, such as Leticia, they are actually Euro-centric but evolved over time along with racial stereotypes. I mean, the President's daughter's name is Natasha, for pete's sake. His wife's name is Michelle. The outrageous names attributed to black people shouldn't be an issue of race, it's more an issue of education. But white or 'normal' names (as people are suggesting) aren't necessarily better. What about the name Malia? Is that a black name just because Obama's daughter has it? Because, big shocker, it's Hawaiian. Its just as ignorant to attribute a behavior to all people of one ethnicity as it is to name your daughter Shaquifa. Examine yourselves and your prejudices.
