He was raises poorly, this is true. He was told many things about how horrible a person he was, which added to his idea of aryan being blond and blue-eyed.
Art was possibly his escape from his parents *I'm guessing, so don't quote*. I mean, he had it hard.

He applied to art school, got rejected, and joined the military, where he became interested in politics. He got his Aryan ideology from his love of a particular opera composer who always depicted characters as perfect Aryans. At least, that's what I learned in my history class last year.
