    Bottled water > tap water for taste but for health tap water > bottled water.

    actually, bottled water is healthier.

    And to the OP, I agree, water has flavor.
    it tastes like water.

    Actually, it's not. Tap water has fluoride in it which is good for your teeth, plus everything else that bottled water has. Bottled water has no fluoride, so your teeth become weaker. Oh ya, plus the billions of plastic bottles are sort of bad for the environment.

    @51663 (Mike):

    Also the regulations on how clean Tap water has to be are several times higher than those for bottled water, so more muck tends to pass through as a result.

    Water does have a taste, it is filled with minerals, disinfectants, salts etc, most are too subtle to taste, but they give water a definite taste.

    @51663 (Mike):

    actually, it's fluorine.
    And there are countless amounts of bacteria and viruses in tap water, whereas those numbers are greatly reduced in bottled water.

    That's weird, my whole family has been drinking tap water forever, and we've never gotten sick from it. Must be because it gets filtered at a water plant. Bottled water is just that, water. It has absolutely nothing else in it, no minerals or salts or anything. It tastes good, but isn't as good for you.

    Actually, it's fluoride--it's an ion in liquid. Fluorine is a gas which reacts with water instead of dissolving in it, and it's also toxic when it's a gas, so... not fluorine.

    Correct other people at appropriate times, please. :P

    actually fluoride is derived from fluorine, hence the reason I said what I said.

    Close enough.

    No kidding, Einstein. But there is a difference, and there's no need to have corrected Mike in the first place.
