-29 People who brush their teeth twice daily spend more than 24 hours annually just brushing their teeth. amirite?

by Shot_Juggernaut 1 week ago

I usually just pick a day when I have nothing else on, do nothing but brush my teeth and then I'm set for the year

by Anonymous 1 week ago

There's a short story like this where all the routine stuff gets stacked on to each other

by Randystracke 1 week ago

This is the way

by DistinctWeird 1 week ago

Yes 2min * 2 times * 365 days = 1460 min / 60 = 24.3hrs

by kbartoletti 1 week ago

Who brushes their teeth for 2 mins? I go hardcore with the speed and friction and maybe brush for 10-15 seconds as hard as I can at like 240brushes per minute, cause I'm always rushing out the door but like I figure it's all about the total brushes not quantity of time.

hard and fast is brad for your gums

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Some might say it pitts them... BADUMTSSS

by Anonymous 1 week ago

lmao i deserved that

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's the recommended amount. Besides, you ain't suppose to brush hard and fast unless you just hate the enamel on your teeth.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

How signifigant is enamel damage from brushing? I ask because I must have gotten some absurd teeth genetics; never had a cavity or any cavitation whatsoever, despite never brushing my teeth as a kid. Once went 3yrs without seeing a dentist or brushing, had black tartar on my teeth, and still... nothing. (I brush daily now.)

by Omaricorwin 1 week ago

that's really bad for your gums lol enjoy that recession

by Big-Artichoke 1 week ago

I think anyone with an electric toothbrush brushes for 2min

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I find it hard to finish in 2 minutes. When my brush tells my the 2mins are over I'm usually just starting the front teeth and then I have the tongue left.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Assuming they brush for 2 minutes

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Which you're supposed to. 30 seconds per quadrant.

by Shot_Juggernaut 1 week ago

What if they do 45?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

45 minutes seems excessive

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I meant milliseconds

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Time well spent inmyopinion .. multi-tasker bonus is you can floss while watching TV ;--)

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Man flossing takes all of 30 seconds and you still need to watch TV πŸ˜‚

People who don't brush twice a day probably spend 24 hours annually in the dentist

by Anonymous 1 week ago

πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ

by Rude-Measurement 1 week ago

Nope. I brush twice a day now but I brushed once a day and often not at all for days at a time because I was basically a lazy bum for like 25 years . Never got a cavity nor tooth pain nor nothing. However if I kept it up I would have issues so I changed my ways but still, probably depends on genetics and diet tbh.

by Organic-Elk7466 1 week ago

I brush 3-4 min once a day and also use teethpicks occasionally. Do this for years and I've never had a hole. Been years since I had plague aswel.

Morning or night?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Afternoon Im weird ik

by gottliebemanuel 1 week ago

I.e. normal people spend more than 24 hours annually just brushing their teeth

by Anonymous 1 week ago

P.s. I too am not normal

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Sometimes I skip the night time one 😬 never had a cavity in my life

by Severe-Collar9522 1 week ago

Gratz? It's not an immediate thing…

by Anonymous 1 week ago

And I appreciate that. Some people nasty.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Probably recover all that time by being in the dentist office for less time

by Proper_Secretary 1 week ago

Why did you say it like it wasn't the normal thing to do? Lpl

by Anonymous 1 week ago

One day of brushing vs time spent at the dentist

by hilpertallison 1 week ago

I also probably spend a few weeks a year sitting on the edge of my bed staring at nothing before work in the morning too

by AffectionateGrape 1 week ago

I don't even want to πŸ˜‚ probably weeks of my life gone every year.

by Shot_Juggernaut 1 week ago

That's why I just chew on a stick, the whole brushing thing is just a false narrative planted by Big Toothpaste

by Queasy-Wolverine 1 week ago

That's actually a thing, Search up miswak

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Thank you for this math. Now I know that if I brush my teeth for 24 hours straight then I'll be good for the year

by eugenejohnson 1 week ago

And their teeth are nicer than mine.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

i literally sometimes brush my teeth for what feels like 20 min, so now i don't even wanna do the math, but.. yeah

by Anonymous 1 week ago

R ur gums ok

by Anonymous 1 week ago

yes, but thanks for asking :*

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Do it while watching or listening to something/ during relaxation stress relief or play time etc

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I brush only once daily for 3-4 minutes. I know, I just hate brushing before I go to bed.

by gottliebemanuel 1 week ago

Math. Read the rules.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Annually being a key aspect here

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Alternative is 24 hours in the dentist chair per year. I know what I'll choose.
