-38 Someone out there holds the world record for carrying the most groceries to their vehicle on one trip without shopping bags, but they don't know they hold the record, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Huh. I've done like 8 bags maybe 10 but dude said his uncle carried 4 turkeys so he's in the lead.

by Hilpertcydney 1 week ago

I once carried 4 12-packs at the same time, but that's nothing compared to that one guy's uncle that carried 4 turkeys in one trip. Dudes a legend.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Another practitioner of the startreck method I see. Live long and prosper đŸ––

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Actually, the Guinness World Records only represent those achievements that have been officially documented and verified. So, there could be numerous people who hold world records but have not been recognized by the organization. The actual world record holders might be unknown to the public.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

The point is that it's not just with number of grocery bags. Somewhere there is an unrecognized record holder for everything in life

by Anonymous 1 week ago

If you really want to "ackshyually," at least bring up how it's not really a record if it isn't recorded

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It was my uncle in 1977. Carried 4 turkeys from the car to counter. Some still speak of his legend

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Live turkeys? Or frozen

by Ludwig68 1 week ago

Half frozen

by Anonymous 1 week ago

With fear

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Can you smell what uncle brothers is cooking?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Jive*

by Striking_Break7578 1 week ago

My uncle could beat up your uncle

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Maybe if he grew a pair, a woman with a moustache is still your aunt, sweety

by Ziemannannabel 1 week ago

Wat? Mustaches are not ever to be joked about

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You seem kinda TESTY. Badum tss.

by Conscious-Ferret 1 week ago

You can do that if you have the right technique. I know someone carrying 4 crates with 20x0,5l which would be 84kg. Of course not for a long time but I have seen him carrying those more than 100m. 2 in the left hand and 2 in the right hand. I do it with the same technique with empty crates (44kg in total) over 2 floors, downstairs. But I can barely hold full ones like this, maybe 5 seconds without walking.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

How heavy is a turkey?

by oolson 1 week ago

I would love to see that one event in the strongman competitions to be swapped out with grocery bags.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Tallest or biggest hands basically win. Grocery bags aren't heavy enough for the weight to become much of a factor, so it'd be about how many you could physically fit on your body.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Better yet, frozen turkeys.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

They don't know they hold it. But they highly suspect it.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I'm at 18 plastic grocery bags in one trip and while I do not think that's the record, it has to be pretty close to what's achievable without extra handles. I'm a big guy and that was like 5 dangling from each elbow, one in my mouth, and my hands totally full of the others. If you could use a piece of pipe or a barbell or something you could probably carry several hundred bags at once though.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Despite this being satire, I enjoyed the story.

by Ok-Concentrate 1 week ago

Probably a lot of people tied for first.

by Stanton84 1 week ago

I don't know about bored, but I do question the premise. A record is a thing that is recorded. So if it's not recorded, it's not a record. Sorry if that was a tautology, it's the only way I could think to say it.

by Own_Sun_2885 1 week ago

It's probably a single mom.

by Marina23 1 week ago

More like single dad

by AdElectronic 1 week ago

More like single child

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Maybe a quarter child

A key component of a record is that its... recorded. I dont the the holder would be unaware if there were such a thing.

by Rude_Bad_2524 1 week ago

He knows. He's just not a braggart.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

That would be an unrecorded record. So... not.

by BetNeither4869 1 week ago

I've carried so many that I lost 3 fingers from lack of circulation. Still not as impressive as the dude's uncles that carried 4 turkeys. Absolute legend, that one.

by Dazzling_Head 1 week ago

You can only hold a record if it's recorded

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Oh, I'm well aware that I have it.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Wouldn't be surprised if it crossed their mind as they were doing it. It would probably take an insane amount of groceries to hold the world record.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Yes. Instead of a bag, they used a different device: A shopping cart.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

As a student I just pushed the shopping cart a mile home. Does that count?

by naomiebogisich 1 week ago

Surely when people picture this it's regarding carrying the most groceries from their vehicle to home. Not from shop to vehicle.

by Odd-Palpitation6263 1 week ago

I was picturing shop to vehicle

by Intelligent_Gate_150 1 week ago

As someone who is not a fan of plastic bags and also lacks the foresight to bring my own half the time, I'm confident that I'm in the running.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's me, my arms go numb from the heft! I hate making more than one trip haha

by Sufficient_Fig_7037 1 week ago

We have to define the metric. Amount, weight, number of bags, bulk (inch³)? I have REALLY big hands and am 'lazy and don't want to make multiple trips so I'm definitely up there. I usually toss on some gloves to load up even more (as to avoid circulation loss)

by Anonymous 1 week ago

The problem is nobody can afford that many groceries at once anymore so the record is likely to stand for a long time.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's me. I've lost 3 fingers setting this record.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Some guy out there busted the most nut at one time amongst all of us and this king has no crown upon his brow. At the same time some queen swallowed the biggest load out of her peers and doesn't have a Walmart gift card for her troubles

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I bet they suspect, though.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Only a bitch takes more than one trip, and I say this as a 61y.o.female

by Anonymous 1 week ago

I've forgotten my shopping bags in my car before and didn't want to purchase any so I left my goceries in the cart and pushed it to my car. Does that count?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It was probably in a record blizzard as well

by Minute-Ad-552 1 week ago

If it's not recorded then it's not a wolrd record

by ClothesSure4084 1 week ago

The king of the "I ain't no 2 trip bitch" exists

by MethodCreative8346 1 week ago

I do know. Thanks all.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

ive done 9-11, but nothing compared to that one guys uncle who carried in 4 turkeys

by Anonymous 1 week ago

My brother forgot he was on his motorcycle and had two cart loads full of groceries in paper bags. He had a grocery clerk hand him bags one at a time and loaded them all, and got all of them on the motorcycle and home.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Probably me, I did this all the time as a kid. Would carry every single bag in the house at once when i was a kid and my mom wanted help bringing groceries in.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

It's probably a tie, sadly! But you do have a point

by beverlybrown 1 week ago

One time I was taking a walk and saw this absolute madlad carrying FOUR turkeys. I bet it's that guy, what a legend

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Most people use shopping carts to carry that many groceries to their vehicles.

by Anonymous 1 week ago

We're not talking about those people

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Read what OP wrote, reading comprehension is essential here

by Anonymous 1 week ago

Shopping carts at the house?

by Anonymous 1 week ago

You should learn how to read. OP wrote carry groceries TO THEIR VEHICLE. Why would you be carrying groceries from your house to your car? It's cool not all us of are strong readers but grab a book some time and give it a shot.
