haha its fine, i love talking about religion with people. I'm really open-minded about it, but i definitely have my beliefs, and i stated them when i posted the comment. What i'm saying is that while i completely do understand the chaos that could come out of not having religion in our society, i also think it's true that people have the ability to tell themselves what's right vs. wrong without religion as a guide for their morals. By saying it discards violence is making the horrible assumption that people are naturally evil, and would do these things without religion guiding them. People have a conscience telling them right from wrong that is not guided by religion and people overlook this as they realize that religion does promote ease in a sense
