That's why I wouldn't consider Americans' misconceptions comparable. But you might. I can laugh at myself, but I have a point where I draw a line, as do most people.

Uhm, you guys realize we're not the only things on the planet that eat meat, right? Therefore, us being made out of meat isn't necessarily for our own pleasure... It seems like most people don't understand that humans are a type of animal too, and therefore we're part of the food chain and circle of life.
Those of you that don't understand why we're taking this seriously never had to deal with people making fun of you because of stupid misconceptions like these. Even if this person was joking, it's not funny when people actually believe it.

Just an idea, but you guys should space out homepaging her posts. Not because of the complainers, but as a way to let her know you're still thinking of her days and weeks from now instead of just a couple days after. Idk if it sounds silly, but a friend of mine died this year, and I would've wanted to do that for her
