Okay, I'm not so good at this, but who is? Hi, I'm a girl, I'm a Christian, I like manga, anime, cartoons, and books, particularly novels. If there's anything else you want to know, just post a question on my wall.

It has come to my attention that I have made many crappy and repetitive posts, so if you feel they are ridiculous enough to report or delete them, please, do not hesitate.

OHHH that actually makes a lot of sense. Maybe I would’ve gotten it if I actually watched that kind of stuff. Does Totally Spies count as feminine? That’s probably the only chick show I watched as a kid, at least that I can think of. Very much so. This guy explains it very well. If you have time, I suggest watching this: . I know it’s long, but at least watch a few minutes. I got hooked about three minutes in.

You mean Gelus? His book went to Misa. He stole his from whatshisface. The retarded one. Which means that- wait a minute. Shit. This just became a really hard question to answer. I forgot to factor in Misa. If Death Notes exist, so must the Shinigami realm. Does that mean Misa have a notebook? If not, Ryuk could take the one that would’ve gone to her. If she does, it probably doesn’t matter what I do. Misa without Light woud probably be the exact kind of person I was trying to save the world from.

Ah, I get it. Did girls have to use Squatty Potties? Remember, all I know about them is that they were in the guys change room of what doesn’t seem like a very educational film. That just seems... unnecessarily awkward. That’s a way to put it. I’m still not sure how they became a thing. Or how two sticks one out as the primary eating utensils. The Japanese seem all about the whole “find something that works and never change it” attitude.
It would definitely be worth it. I’d be remembered as a hero.

I’m not defending it. Just explaining. And, on this lowest common denominator grindhouse style reason, they can’t very well make her a well developed or non-sexist character. Everyone wants to be in charge of a relationship. She gets too independent, and the shy reluctant nerds feel a shift in power. She’s no longer an obedient sex toy that can also destroy his enemies, but a real person, who could destroy him, if she so felt. But I don’t disagree with you, or this post. I loved Teen Titans Starfire. On a related note, and this isn’t about your link in specific, I don’t really like those “let’s ask a kid” thing. It worked on what you linked, as comics are often for kids. I just mean that whole idea that a childlike innocence can see the simple truth we all overlook. I’ve never seen that work on actual adult issue. It’s just something people keep cramming down peoples throats for no reason. True. And yeah, that’s the smart thing to do. But more and more of those type of women are going to start popping up. I’d like to say more guys expecting women to be sex objects would start popping up too, but we’ve probably maxed out on those. Don’t tell me. I’m not the one buying my comics based on how hot the chick on the cover is.

Well, he stole the first one. Why couldn't he get a new one? If the Shinigami Realm is as boring as he say, and killing Shinigami is impossible (minus love, which I don't think concerns Ryuk), he'd at least have to try. What's he got to lose?

I saw a video of it on YouTube. It MOVES. They have a giant robot that MOVES. We have the CN Tower... The thing is, we don't love anything as much as the Japanese love Gundams, so we couldn't do something that awesome and expect profit. Maybe Harry Potter, but that's England's thing. And that was one of the first things I learned though I'm never gonna have to use it. 'm not gonna have time to eat with all the giant robots around, and I'll be moving so fast my piss will evaporate. I don't know where that idea came from, but here it is.
Um... okay. I saw one in "Mr. Baseball". It looked... weird. I might talke a picture of it. Side note, I have absolutely no problem with being "that guy" in public, just for entertainment. I'm considering buying a Star Trek costume just to wear it to the Phantom Menace.

Even that is getting better. Really, if you just forget for a second about how society used to be, and judge solely on the now, aside from the pay thing, we are pretty equal. Ever since maternity leave became a thing, really. That's when I say we became legally equal. It makes sense, really. Sex sells, and that goes both ways. I watched Nowhere Boy with a friend of mine, and she spent about half the running time how hot the guy who plays John is. The thing is most men are contempt with seeing, women have to feel. One of my biggest pet peeves is how many are expected to have their lives entirely revolve around their women. Especially when you're supposed to relate to the woman. But enough about Twilight, what I'm trying to say is that comics are predominantly male. Guys relate to guys, and look at girls. It makes sense. Stil, I do agree that I'd like to see some more female characters not physically designed as sex object. I heard about the Starfire thing on cracked. That bothers me mostly because I was first introduced to her through Teen Titans. To be fair, how many male comic book fans can talk to women? Maybe their sexed up heroines are all they have.

Nah, not even close. You're allowed to want equality, you know. Until you start blaming the patriarchy, you'll be fine. Never watched Sailor Moon. It seemed feminine, and that's coming from an ex Powerpuff Girls fan. But I may have to check WW out, if she has Batmans seal of approval. PS, Batman's gonna die in TDKR.

However, if it had been one like Ryuk just looking for entertainment, what choice would I have but use it? If I didn't use it for reasons I found right, he'd probably just kill me, and give it to someone else, with more questionable morals than myself. So basically, if there had to be a Kira, I think I could bring myself to take on the role, just to make sure it was someone who wouldn't just going around killing everyone who looked at him wrong. Does that make me evil? I don't think so. You could be my advisor, if you'd like.

"Two wrongs totally make a right. Ask any politician."- Me.
July 26, for two weeks. It's part of an exchange, so I'll have a Japanese student in my house, too. Luckily, he got someone nerdy enough to have a tonna of manga, comics and Japanese movies, in case he gets home sick. And I haven't decided if I'm going to dress as a ninja and join them, or dress as a samurai and challenge them. And dear God, I did not know there were life sized Gundams. I'm very tempted to just abandon my group after the ninja village, and go find all the cool anime shit on my own. Because there's a Pokemon theme park, and it's not on the itinerary, and that's not okay with me.

Somehow I don't think that's it. Besides, I know a lot of non-sexist comics. It's really mostly early stuff, or continuations of early stuff. Most modern books are quite equal. Side note, you'll never hear me say "feminist" in a good light. That's why I say equal. I mean, back in the days of sexual oppression, I'd support feminism. Nowadays, I find it relies far heavy on the patriarchy, which I really don't think exists anymore. Yeah, women are still oppressed in some ways. But now it happens to men, too. That's why I'm an egalitarianist. /endrant. Also, what exactly are Wonder Womans powers? I assumed she had something along he lines of super strength, but if she can't get out of ropes...

He's the guy with power. I don't think he thought his views were perfect. The thing is, he was the only one the notebook. As long as he thought his views were above norm, it makes sense that he would act. Yeah, he's flawed. But he knew literally no one else could do what he did. Frankly, being raised by a lawman, and having a near genius level IQ, if I didn't know what was coming next, I would've thought Light would be an ideal candidate if we were electing people as Kira. And compared to other people who could've found it, you've got to admit it could've been much worse. It would depend how I got it. Remember, Ryuk was looking for any old human to entertain him. If some shinigami had lost it by accident, I'd give it back. (cont'd)

Almost. The episode 1 review is seventy minutes, episode 2 is ninety minutes.

That doesn't make sense. It sounds like I'm talking about a television. I'll admit, I don't know a lot about her. I saw a Facebook status asking what the coolest thing about Wonder Woman was. Literally nine of the first ten comments said her boobs. The other said "nothing lmfao".

...He might of been a bit sociopathic. But thinking as Light, it does make a bit of sense. Remember what Light was doing during his introductory scene? He was complaining about how terrible the legal system is, and how people can get out of serious crimes unharmed. It'd make sense if he blamed his dad, the chief of police, for the failures of the police. He did still like his dad. And it's not like he started out that bad. That much power could change anyone. What would you do if you had a Death Note?
But if it goes both ways, is it really sexist? And that's because it's Japan. Also, guess what? I'm finally going to Japan! It's for a school trip, and I don't like some of the people I'm going to have to spend it with, but there's a Ninja Village on the itinerary, and nothing can ruin that.

Really? Huh, didn't know that. That makes me idolize Jphn Green even more.

His metaphors are....his thing....I guess. I like them because they're his personality. But yeah, his cigarettes....gah.

That's probably the least romantic place to make out ever. Hahaha.

Yeah. A lot. It's weird, cancer books are supposed to be all depressing, but John Green somehow makes it hysterically funny.

Issac was cool. Augustus was my favorite character though. He's cool.

Neither did I, the first time. When I actually did, I didn't hate it as much as the first. If you ever have too much time on your hands, I recommend watching the RedLetterMedia reviews. They're absolutely hilarious.

Well, who would possibly want a Wonder Woman movie? I was going to make that into an alliteration thing, but I couldn't think of a synonym for movie that started with W. But seriously, Deadpool is actually interesting. Wonder Woman's defining characteristic is being a woman. She's not even that wonderful, really.

He didn't really love his parents at all. It's said in volume 13 that the only person he really loves (besides himself) is his sister. Remember, he did legitimately think he was saving the world. I'm not saying it's justified, but it is better than just going "lol I think I'll murder my dad today!" He didn't really show off his intelligence. In fact, aside from using people, he didn't really interact with anyone. Did you expect him to not do his best on tests to be modest? I am not far into Ranma. Volume 1, actually. Never really seen the show.

Umm... you know pg-13 movies show blood right? Like, a lot. You actually think blood is the problem people have? It's not. It's not that the person is bleeding when they got stabbed in the brain and it came gushing out traumatized little Max, it's that the guy got stabbed in the brain and his brain is leaking out. And pg-13 isn't for little kids who are still afraid of all that violence, it's for older people who can handle it without being too bad.

fangirl12 commented on post #671375

Just because it has intellectual themes that are more developed doesn't mean that it has to be for older people only. Look at Avatar:The Last Airbender, that show is Y7 but it still has tons of complex ideas that kids won't get that can still be thoroughly enjoyed by an older audience or the kids that are ahead of the norm and understand them.

Not all male-female counterparts date though.

I'm sure someone could. I'm not saying I could, but if you read Mere Christianity the author explains the belief system very well and, especially in in the first two sections, is very logical about it. At least to me. I'm not sure what you would define as a logical argument.

Like Einstein!

fangirl12 commented on post #513210

So you think that there's no such thing as an intelligent religious person? Yeah, I guess C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkein, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Charles Darwin and Martin Luther King JR. were pretty stupid.

fangirl12 commented on post #690007

Seriously, I don't say "you should thank God" to people unless I know they're religious and might actually care. It's annoying when people try to make you say thanks to God when talking to an atheist. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't thank God if you actually believe in him.

fangirl12 commented on post #320487

True. But that doesn't make killing a baby any less bad.

fangirl12 commented on post #693659

Ha! I get it! A skinny American chick working at McDonald's. Hilarious!

fangirl12 commented on post #673030

Nope. Rule 34 my friend.

fangirl12 commented on post #673030

Hunger Games is probably safer. Shipping wars are bad pretty much anywhere, but there's only Gale or Peeta as far as ships go for that, so you only have that as a problem.

fangirl12 commented on post #673030

You think that's bad, you should try pretty much any fandom with comic book heroes. The shipping wars with the Young Justice cartoon are horrible and it's dangerous pretty much whoever you ship.

fangirl12 commented on post #566677

But you still wanna use the other option in case it does get broken.

fangirl12 commented on post #566677

Well it is sensible if you don't want to have kids at all and not just at the moment. My dad had one after my parents had three kids and it's been pretty effective.

That was my point.
