Nor did I suggest that everything in the Bible is true. In fact, I think the Bible is complete bullshit. It's a nice story, but has completely destroyed the true meaning of faith. As an atheist, I live without the restrictions of any religion. We wouldn't be having this argument in the first place if your Holy Book hadn't said any of the things I brought up. And on your analogy: No, that is not the same thing. The "word of God" was written over 2000 years ago by primitive men in a desert. A tabloid on a celebrities' word is written very recently. The more credible data is more recent, because it is less likely to have been exaggerated and mistranslated.

1. That comment doesn't make sense in regards to the question that I posted. 2. Some Atheists act ignorant I suppose, but consider this a) Most atheists did at one point believe in a God. They saw both sides of the controversy, and chose to not believe. That makes them open-minded. b) Most religious people were born into the religion they worship. They have not seen the other side, and believe and see only what their parents have put in front of them. It's hypocritical for them to say atheists are ignorant when they refuse to even acknowledge the other viewpoint, let alone try to understand it.
