And being in tabloids doesn't make a person part of the entertainment industry; it makes a person a part of tabloids. There's so much competition to enter the industry nowadays, I don't think you can get in without someone deeming you talented. Anyway, a person's talent is subjective, so what you consider good talent I might not.
There are only so many people in the entertainment industry--it's a pretty small field. Just being lucky enough to get in the industry is rare, and many who do make it in work very hard to get there. (I would like to add that Paris Hilton isn't really a part of the entertainment industry; if she is, she plays a minor role. She's an heiress, so at least someone in her family worked hard at some point for their money). When you compare the people, let's take the Jersey Shore as an example again, who basically did nothing for their money against the millions of people who worked incredibly hard for their money, the ratio is very big. It's simply a matter of the fact that the most vivid cases of people like the Jersey Shore cast stick in our memory--there's a psychological term for it but it's not coming to mind at the moment--making it seem as though most people don't work hard for their money.
You can't defend this post by giving a few really rare examples, like Jersey Shore or Paris Hilton. Most people who are really rich work incredibly hard. A few exceptions doesn't make a rule.
That's stupid. That's like saying that citizens should be able to talk on the phone while driving, because the government has no right to say when people can or can't talk on the phone. Those laws are in place for a reason--to save lives.
Or, a la Dwight Schrute, the youngest kid will raise the oldest.
I say pop a squat...not the same but it has a certain ring to it
Don't feel bad, no one's analyzing your face. I think it's more of a subconscious thing. It's not like when people get ready to go to a party or something, they ask their friends, "Do I look alright? I mean, are my features symmetrical?"
Early 20s to mid 20s; the early 20s are the peak. But I do agree about the stubble. That + accent + tall guy = irresistible, even if the rest of their features are only mildly attractive.
Let's all state evolutionary facts! Fact: Youthful looking women are attractive to guys. Fact: Symmetrical features are attractive! Fact: The hourglass shape on women is more attractive to guys! Honestly, I could have read this in my textbook.
So, because some random person on the internet smokes weed every day and claims to be sixth in their class and goes to "school high" every day, then obviously weed isn't harmful. For the record, because weed is a "natural plant", doesn't mean it's not harmful. Coca leaves come from plants, yet they still produce cocaine.
The fact that weed may be associated with other fatal things is part of the reason it is illegal--weed is a gateway drug, and dealers often lace it with other things. Misuse of any drug can cause death, and alcohol is more dangerous than weed because it is more widely used, as well as a different kind of drug all together, so it's stupid to compare the effects.
Did anyone else notice that the poster's picture is from The Lion King...?
**I think anyone can appreciate it. There's lots of modern day examples of a world that other people don't know about and therefore want to be part of.
Sorry to jump in, but I think the whole appeal of "Potter" has to do with a magical world that most people don't know about. That's what draws me in. I think anyone can appreciate it, because there's lots of modern day examples. It's just presented in book form as opposed to another one.
